20g turbo problems

i just bought 20g turbo it spools good but at 5000 rpms the boost starts climbing again and doesnt stop. it fully spools at 12 pounds at 3000 rpms holds till about 5000 rpms then it climbs to 20 lbs at about 5500 rpms. then the car starts to pop. it has a turbo back exhuast. whats the problem with my car. how can i fix this?

You most likely have boost creep. Your internal wastegate is not relieving enough exhaust manifold pressure to keep the turbo from building more boost. The solution is usually either porting the crap out of the wastegate passage or going with an external wastegate. The popping you heard is probably detonation.

What fuel mods do you have? Do you have the stock BCS or some type of MBC? What are you using to tune with?

I seriously doubt it is, spooling at that rpm... sounds much more like a s16g or 14b.
