hi every body i have a 90 eclipse turbo manual with bad ecu
the question it's i put a used one from 93 talon turbo it fit also starts but could i have problems

That's not correct. You can adapt the 90 ecu to work in 91-94 cars, but it is much harder to adapt the 91-94 ecu to a 1990 vehicle. You should use a 1990 turbo ecu. Be sure you get one from a manual transmission. One from an AWD will remove the top speed limitation.

Check out the vfaqs under electrical. Youll be ok just swap the pins.
If he doesn't mind the tach not working correctly.

xveganxcowboyx, There isn't a speed limiter on 1Gs.

Another option might be getting the original ECU fixed.

Between 90 and 91 two pins on the ECU connector changed locations.

The pins used for the Idle Position Switch and the MAF reset signal were swapped.
So if you plug a 91+ ECU into a 90 car the wiring harness won't be correct for the ECU. The other difference is that the signal on pin 109 changed. It's still an ignition pulse but the nature changed such that plugging in a 91+ ECU causes the 90 tachometer which also used the signal to malfunction.

so i must get a 90 ecu ther's no other way thanx for your help
if any one with 90 ecu unused let me know

Ah yeah I totally forgot about that,as it has been so long since i swap mine over.I was thinking you only needed to do all those changes if you wanted to change the igniton etc.

I thought the FWD's were speed governed. It's only 2G's for that? Good to know.

Will send PM about ecu. I've got a spare 90.

Yes i would say get the 90 fixed, i did that once with my turbo swap, and just got a rebuild
91 computer. Easier that way at least in my opinon. steves right.
