Heres a problem I have....a friend removed it so I didn't get to see it before it came off but I surely can't understand how it should bolt back up.

The bottom of the mount has sat flat against something but nothing is there. We didn't lose a part as far as I know .If there was a standoff to correct the hole height thats close to the tire, the bolt wouldn't be long enough.

Anyone know whats goin on here?

pic of flat bottom mount, followed by where it mounts to......

I am going to do these mounts today, but I am pretty sure that you are just mixed with how it goes in. I have read up on these a lot and I think you should just raise and lower the engine until you get it right. You might be putting it in the wrong way.

Hope this helps...

Appreciate the quick response and link but they show almost everything I need, haha.

Its not the part of the motor mount with the 4 bolts that mounts to the fender, its the other part that bolts to the tranny.I could be making a huge deal out of nothing but being a machinist...that makes no sense that a flat plate would mount to 2 unparalell standoffs.

Look at the bottom of my plate, and the difference in height of the 2 holes it mounts to....my bolts are equal length so if there was an extra fat washer to level the mount, the left bolt wouldn't be long enough.

Someone on another site mentioned the wrong motor mount...this is a turbo 94 7 bolt motor/tranny in a 92 6 bolt NA shell so I may have encountered a new problem.

Thing thats really irritating is I've drove it for over 200 miles and just the other day took it off to put the inserts in I forgot when swapping motors and ran across the problem....I can rig it up but I'd rather not.

I'm pretty sure the height difference is supposed to be there. If I remember correctly, the bracket itself is "stepped" to accommodate that difference.

Ahhh, then I have the wrong mount that other guy mentioned...lemme look into it and I'll be sure to update.
