so ive had this idol prolbem for sometime now and i just want to fix it..

once the 91 eclipse gsx is started it idols up high around 2500 rmp then after a few seconds the osoliting idol starts. with every bump of the idol the rmps start to drop until its warmed up. then it consistanly surges between 1200-1400 rpm.

so my question is, is it and intake manifold leak?

or is it the throttle position sensor?

or is it most likley the idol speed contorl sensor?

oh also is there any procedures for changing the ISC? as well as throttle position sensor?

You must keep idol happy, or we cut out beating heart with obsidian knife and crush in pages of spell checker. DOLTS SHOULD WALK.

i was trying to take the isc off my 91 talon parts car to see if that was the prolbem, but i couldnt get the bottom bolt out with the only 8mm wrench i happened to have with me. does anyone know if it requires an allen wrench or special too to get it out?

Defiant you are my idle (hands) and you are idealized by the many (American) idol minds of this sight (line). It is true that you shake at 800 RPM?

I had the same problem and it turned out that i had the bisss screw out a little to far. So what i did is tightened it all the way down and loosened it 2 1/4 turns back out. It ran perfect although depending on mods you may have to work on it a little to get it just where you want it. :talon:
