I have a 92 GSX that has something draining the battery over extended periods of time. I used a test light between the positive terminal of the battery and wiring and determined that the power drain is somewhere on the 40 amp Bat. fuse cicuit in the fusebox near the air filter. My repair manual wiring diagram is not detailed enough to show the 40 amp circuit. Does anyone know what this circuit powers? I am guessing it powers circuits that are on after the key is turned off because it is labeled Bat. My key buzzer would be one of those items and my buzzer does not work. Can a buzzer go bad and drain a battery over time? Where is the buzzer located and what does it look like? Thanks...............

Anything bad may have a short in it. There appears to be three 40A fuses listed. Most go to smaller fuses in the inside fusebox. With the test light in series with the + battery terminal pull all the inside fuses one at a time until the light goes out. Then replace that fuse and start disconnecting everything on that circuit until the light goes out. I don't have a 1g so I can't say where the buzzer is but on mine it's on one of the relay boards under the dash and sort of looks like a relay.
