what rings to go with forged pistons.

I am planning on rebuilding my motor soon. I found some forged piston for sale without rings. What kind of rings should I get for them. How much money am I looking at?

Find out the make of the pistons. In most cases you can contact the manufacturer, give them the part number on the pisons and they can send you out rings. Just an easy way of doing things. I was looking into this for a freind a while back but forget how much the rings would cost. Dont qoute me but I think they were around $130

Ok. I was wondering, are the piston rings for forged pistons different that piston rings for stock pistons?

thers no differnce in stock piston rings and forged ones. enless you get some .20 or more forged pistons. A real good ring that i use is total seal piston rings. i perfer the gapless second ring set and they are about 135 shiped from summit racing

What is good about the gapless piston ring? 135 for all the pistons rings?
