I bought my car with misc. engine parts and I found an oil pump with the balance shaft eliminator kit. But I need the bearings that go in the motor. Does anyone know where I can get them?-Thanks Austin

You say you have this kit (or something similar)? The vendor is kind enough to post up the part numbers right in that link for the bearings. Click here ans use the search option to find the appropriate parts.

I have the oil pump with a balance shaft nub. (looks like the balance shaft is cut) But I dont have the bearings that I am supposed to install to stop oil that would go to the balance shaft.

I am personally preping for the BS elimination myself. I purchased my bearings at the Mitsubishi dealer. Some companies try to sell the "kit", but they come at the dealer. They have what you're looking for. Now, this thread should stop as soon as I say VFAQ.com. click on Engine. Then Balance shaft Elimination. It'll give you the pictures along with part numbers in accordance. Ask around for a DSMer at the dealership. I found one at mine. I'm having a feeling he might be helpful in the future. Oh yeah, I paid $54.00 for my parts not bad. Good luck.:talon:

Ok. I just looked at my block and the balance shaft bearings were spun. What can I do for that?

I assume you mean that they are spun in the sense that they are bad, you can also spin them 180 degrees to use them in a BS removal (though I don't recomend this). As long as the motor is still good ie. the mains and rods didn't eat the metal from the spun BS you can just remove the bad bearings install the BS eliminator kit and go. You did mention that it looked as if someone had cut the balance shaft, is that you stubby if so you must make sure the rifling in the middle is plugged.

Good Luck
