I just finished rebuilding my head, guides, seats and seals, and I just installed 950 FIC injectors. Everything else was in my previous setup. When I attempt to set my base timing I can do so with the jumper wire grounded and I can set it to 5degrees BTDC, but as soon as I disconnect the Jumper wire it is way out of time. I burned a chip for 950 injectors other then that the maps have not been altered in any way. Any previous issues like this or any type of constructive information would be very helpful.

uhm.....the reason you have to ground that wire to set the timing is because the ECU is always changing the ignition timing. of course your timing is going to be off when you un-ground the timing wire.
