here's the prob: when i start the car on the instrument panel it shows the battery, the check engine and the engine coolant light for a few seconds that's normal i also hear the fuel pump, but when it fails those lights doesn't come on at all, i don't hear the fuel pump , and also there's no spark. i already checked the fuses , relays etc etc... need help please , also if i have to replace it , does it have to be based on the year? or based on the number of the ecu.
thanks...:thumb:

You need to start from square one and let us know what the car is doing. I can almost gather that the car will run and die but we need more info. When did it start, did you do anything before the problem started, what exactly is the problem, etc?

well it starts for a few minutes, maybe some hours, sometimes only seconds then it fails, and i cant turn the car on. for example i'm on the street the car running fine and suddenly the instrument panel flashes and clicks like its going to die sometimes it dies , sometimes just makes the clicking noises and keeps running, but when it dies i cant turn it on again if the check engine light doesn't come on for seconds , on the car manual it says this "check engine: if it illuminates while driving or does not illuminate when the ignition key is turned to the on position take your car to a dealer" , when it doesn't come on there's no 12 v current to the msd relay and the fuel pump relay nor the other sensors.

Sounds like it could be a bad system power or bad system ground. Check your battery cables and ensure they are tight. Also inspect them for corrosion and clean them if you find any corrosion. Trace your grounds from the battery to where they are bolted down. Make sure they are tight as well. As for grounds in the passenger compartment I'm not sure of where they would be at.

Very well said. I was about to post the same reply but it looks like you covered it pretty well.

I will add that if you have a strut tower bar on the front, make sure the positive terminal is not grounding out on it. Also make sure the battery is fastened down securely regardless.
