Does anyone know what this code means, or what needs to be replaced. Is it okay to drive my car before I get this fixed? I just got it scanned at Autozone but they had no idea and told me to go to the Mitsu stealership to get it checked out.

I think i might know what is wrong with your car. I had some what kind of problem with my car. It turned out to be my temp sensor. the little thermisor on it broke. i don't know how diffrent your maf looks but if you take it off the car and look over it very carefully. for mine it was a little pice of glass that turned out to be there thermister it is about a 1/4 of an inch long and very small. with mine it was on the side of my maf. It cost me 2.19 to buy a new one then i had it sodered onto my maf and now my car is fine. If it is the temp sensor then for the 1g's they default to 77 deg. as the intake temp. it will effect your timing and your CE light should come on

haha, I work at autozone. Some of the trouble codes that we get are bunk. I have tried to tell people this, but they never listen. If the code is correct, check the barometric sensor. Im not 100 percent sure if 95+ DSM's run a MAP sensor and a MAS, but I know you either have to have one or the other. Map Sensor, or MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR. Both are fuel metering systems. Now you get to decide this. Listen to random people who are'nt 100 percent sure, or go to the library, dealership and look up the code on Mitchell On-Demand or Buy a REAL service manual. Haynes and chilton suck. If I was at school, I could look it up for you and tell you what to check. If you wait, I can look it up tommorrow and tell you some of the things to check. A OBD II scan tool, such as Snap on or OTC will run the data on your car while its running and it will see what the Barometric Sensor is doing. I would take it to a local mechanic who has a scan tool like this if you don't want to check it out yourself. If you decide to check it out yourself, Get out your DVOM (VOLTAGE, OHM METER).
