Got a 97 gst put a intake on everything is back on the same as if it was factory but with filter and pipe. Now when I come to a stop sign the motor almost shuts off then it kicks back up and idles fine. If you slow down slowley and glide to a stop through each gear it does not do it as bad. But if you would just come to a stop normal it almost shuts of

Is your BOV properly recirculated? Is the valve cover breather hose, and the EVAP line hooked up to the new intake? Did you make sure the MAS is securely sealed on the new intake pipe, and clamped down snugly?

PS- Fill out your car profile, it'll help people in the future if you need other diagnosis. Plus it's extra points toward taking pride in what you drive. :D

Yes all hoses are hooked up but when I got the intake it did not give me any bolts to bolt the maf to the intake. So I had two bolts here that worked they are pretty tight I have not got anymore blots yet. Do you think thats what it is ? My bov is hooked up the same way and it is also stock.

I'd check all the connections, and try putting on the stock intake and see if the problem goes away, or if it was a coincidental failure of some other part. Usually the bogging out while slowing is a vacuum leak, BOV not recirculated (in the event of slowing down after some boost, or with the stock BOV/CBV vented to the atmosphere, as it opens under vacuum).

After that, yeah, I'd suspect the MAF not being sealed up, and having a leak there.
