Okay so I just finished switching turbos in my 2g, I couldn\'t take off one of the bolts from the 02 housing. So i just decided to take off the 02 housing with the blown turbo. So now that i have finished putting on the new turbo. I\'m running with no 02 housing..The weird thing is that there is no CEL, but the OIL light is on and it doesn\'t let me go past 2k rpm...any ideas ???

So... your exhaust is just blowing straight out the side, at your alternator? That'll kill it right quick.
Car's in limp mode for sure, with no O2 sensor read. May have pulled the wire from the idiot-light oil sensor loose when you were taking off the old turbo. What does the oil gauge say?

at first the oil gauge didn\'t read too much because at first when i turned the car on. a lot of oil like blew out from the engine..then i went to the chevron down the street and put some oil into the car and it went up from where it was. but after i little while that i was driving the car the OIL light will start to flicker and then stay on completely. Limp-mode for sure because the car sputters like its about to turn off but i thought it was because the 02 sensor isn\'t reading...any other ideas ??

How are you running the car without an O2 housing? Just blowing exhaust directly out of the turbine housing, and frying everything in its path? That's... very, very not good.

Yes, no O2 sensor read will put the car into limp mode.

Track down where all the oil blew out. You might have a dead oil pump, or a severe leak somewhere. It's kind of difficult to give advice with a description as vague as above. I'd suspect the oil feed/return lines on the new turbo, if you didn't torque down the banjo bolts to spec, and reused the old crush washers.

I am baffled. You need at least the o2 housing and a downpipe on there. Are you CRAZY?

I have an o2 housing I can sell you for cheap. Stock 2G housing in great shape. No porting or anything though.

thank u all for the advice, and thank u to those so kind to give me an 02 housing...i really appreciate it...this 2g is now up and running properly, 02 housing and new gaskets...turns out that i didn't connect the oil line to the turbo...big NOOB move..sorry..re connected and torqued. went to the nearest gas station and put another 5 quarts of oil because i had NO oil what so ever...sorry for the vague explination...kinda new to posting threads as u can tell..hehe..but practice makes perfect. dont you think so ?...all in all i got the car running right and i thank you all for the advice and suggestions which some were true...
