Well i bought my 97 tsi awd with a 1gen engine in it.. i don't know the year, neither does the dealer... My engine compartment is a mess whoever did it had no idea what they were doing. Well my radiator is leaking and i need a new one.. Now my question is do i get one for the 1st gen talon or 2nd gen?

Are there any diffrences in the 1gen talon engines? year wise?

Anybody with a 1st gen can you please send me detailed engine pictures of your cars? stock and modded? Because theres nothing attached to the mass air flow on my car and no room to put anything.

Don't know much about these cars but definetly getting into learning about them but have you guys ever heard of the 2 piece rims for the 2nd gen talon? I got them on my car and there polished and i need another one (it was dented now can't fill the tire up with air.) Where can i get these ones exactly?

its the same engine my friend, only 2 engines for eclipse/talon 420a and 4g63 well besides the 1.8 but you have a 97 and i seriously doubt you have that engine LOL :) you cant switch a 420a into a 4g63 hole without spending a few thousand, the 420a is the 4g63 its just flipped over and made by chrysler

its the same engine my friend

No they arent. If he has a 6 bolt, its not the same as the 7 bolt that would have come with the car.

If hes describing a mess, I bet someone did a hacked up 6 bolt swap.

reduceallpain take pics of your engine bay so we can tell whats "screwed up".

1g and 2g radiators are different. 1 way to tell is to see where the radiator inlet is located. the 2g inlet is centered on the top.

For the engine, look at the the oil pan and see if there is a dip in the pan where the front case is. The 7 bolt motors have this. All 6 bolt motors are level all around.
