Ok, this might be a little long but I've been stuck with this problem for too long.

What Happened: Me and a friend of mine were trying to get my car started. We had a palm with MMCD hooked up to it and we were kicking the fuel pump on with it. The palm apparently froze up and we ended up hitting the button too many times. The relay in the car started to click on and off like it normally should when you hit the button, it did this a few times and then the car just started making the door buzzer sound. The sound it would make if you opened the door and left the keys in it on the off position.

The Problem: So now the car won't do anything. Even if the key is in the on position nothing works. The seatbelts won't come back, headlights don't work, etc. the car just constantly makes he buzzing.

What I've Tried So Far I've put a tester on all the fuses, I've checked all the relays, I replaced the ignition switch, I tried a different lock cylinder, computer, and the fuel relay that sits beside it. I have no idea what to check next. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Are you sure you tried to pump relay? If I remember right, there are 2 relays by the ecu. Maybe you tested the wrong one?

sounds to me like the battery is dead or has a poor connection. Sometimes relays will buzz when you turn the key on but have a problem for what ever reason from the battery. Even after you shut the key off. Or a bad or dirty ground.

Thanks for the replies so far. I had it hooked up to a new battery and jumper cables. Where is the other relay at by the ecu? I only see one.

I could be wrong, but it may be different on a 90. :)

EDIT: I think it's 2g's that have 2 relays. It looks like the fuel pump relay on 1g's is really just the MPI relay. (at least this is what I've concluded from searching...)

Did you check the MPI fuse by the battery?

I'll update the thread since Mr. Snatch hasn't. And I'd like to make fun of him publicly. The ignition fuse by the MPI fuse was blown.
