gringing sound from 2200-2400 RMP?

Can you be a little more specific? Does it only do it under load, or when you free rev? Where is it coming from, engine bay, rear end, etc. Does it do it with the clutch in, out or both?

We really need more information to help you.

Yeah I thought about that after I went to bed. OK so I found out what was wrong, lack of oil and now I have other problems. I did a rebuild about 10-12k ago and was loosing oil so I figured that the turbo was takin a crap on me. Got a MHI small 16g and still having the oil problem. What the freakin crap is wrong? There is no oil leaks, a little oil in the valve cover, but not enough to even soak up 1/4 paper towel any clues??

Are you burning oil? How was the shaft play on the 16g before you installed it? I would replace the VC gasket and the 4 o-rings for the spark plugs at the same time.

no shaft play, it only had 3k on the turbo. I will check on the gaskets, thanks... I am not sure about the burning. I don't get smoke out the exhaust.

Do you smell oil after driving a ways outside towards the front of the car? Also check the oil drain plug might be loose. Or there may be a leak in one of your oil feed lines.
