Trouble Removing PCV Valve

So this is probably a stupid question but I searched and cant seem to find anything. I want to remove my PCV valve to check it but I cant seem to get it off? 15mm wrench and turn it to the left like any other screw correct? It moves but its very very hard to turn and I'm very hesitant to just really crank on it because of cracking my valve cover. Has any one else ever experienced this? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks Guys

Why are you removing it? To answer your question, yeah it just unscrews. Another valve cover is like, 10 bucks from a junkyard tops.

You need a 14mm wrench.

Remember that if you are standing in front of the car you will actually be turning it towards the right from that perspective (translates to counterclockwise if you were looking at valve cover from firewall side).

He's right its a 14mm. Make sure you take the hose off the back of the PCV Valve before trying to turn it. It could be making it harder to turn.

Sounds like the last guy crossed the current one in. If so, and you still have enough thread to hold the new PCV valve, you could "glue" it in with some Permatex. It's not a high-stress location, so doing a farm job on it won't hurt anything.
Like so many pipe thread connections on DSMs, they aren't run in at the angle they look like they should be.

Thanks guys ill see what I can come up with. I just want to check it because its never been checked or replaced by me so I figured I might as well check it.
