Aight, this will probably be a topic for Transdude, and requires a lil' explanation, so here goes... I just finished a MAJOR buildup on my '95 TSi AWD that covered 2 yearsROFLROFL ROFL . The only thing keeping it off the road is what i suspect is my overdrive clutches not disengaging. After setting up my idle and all that jazz, i go to shift into gear and she dumps hard! WTF I tried this several times into ANY gear including reverse. I have an IPT 4200 stall, the Alto end clutch kit, and the reworked valve body installed. After pulling the overdrive clutches back out and referencing them to the pictorial instructions for the Alto end clutch install, i pretty sure i'm missing a piece that just lays over the snap ring that holds the clutch springs tight, but i need an experts verification. Here's what i have...

And heres a link to the install instructions i chose to use. The pic is the 6th one down for those who care to look.

I already tried the O/D button to no avail, and the one time i did get the car to move, everything shifted great... till i stopped. So, would this little missing piece be the reason my overdrive won't disengage? If so, what is the part number for that piece so i can get one ordered?! Please, no amateur speculations. Just solid answers from those who have experience with trannies. Thanks for the help in advance.

Update: As it turns out, I'm not missing anything. After looking at picture after picture, my end clutch setup is intact, but the problem is still here. I'm now thinking it may have something to do with my re-soldering of one of the solenoid connections. But could a solenoid be the problem?
