all of the sudden my car started smoking from the manifold and exhaust very badly

so i took the manifold off and there is oil all in the turbo housing, and in the top of the exhaust manifold and in one runner of the manifold...

i also checked for shaft play in the turbo and there was none

and also there is no oil in the lower intercooler pipe, so im really confused i dont think its the turbo but there is no oil in the head, just in the manifold and one runner of the manifold

if anyone had any info let me know

any help would be appreciated

Valve stem seals would be my guess. Does it smoke on start up when its been sitting for a while? Or after you have been sitting at a light idleing and you take off does it smoke? When checking for oil in the licp, i'd recomend doing that right after a hard pull under boost. Good luck.

well, I got my car about two months ago, and have had the head of two times and rebuilt th whole motor and head and still the head is blowing oil out the exhast and not just a little, a crap load, now when I had the head done, I had all the valves, valve guides, and stem seals replaced. I have took the pcv valve of the back of the valve cover and put a bolt in its place, along with the intake, I have put a bolt in that hole aswell. I put one of those little air filters in place of the vacume line that runs from the valve cover to the intake. did I do something wrong please help.

More than likely the PCV removal is causing your problem. Even if it is not the cause the setup you have is not good for the motor. You have no vacuum source to actively evacuate the crankcase pressure and vapors. The breather will only allow for minimal relief of this. I highly suggest you go back to the stock setup. If you're concerned about leaking PCV valves or oily residue in your intake tube or intake manifold there are ways to either alleviate or at least minimize this. This thread discusses CC pressure relief and a link to a check valve (page 2 of thread) you can use inline with the PCV valve to fix the situation.

If oldman is reading this he is grinding his teeth by now!LOL

Put that back to pcv back to a stock setup like said above. What was your reason for doing this in the first place?

Well I put the pcv valve and stuff back to stock and no more oil coming out the exhaust ports, BUT it still is running very poorly like it running on three cylinders, did the oil foul the plugs or what happened, any suggestions would help and thanks in advanced.

I'm glad to see that you wen't back to the stock PCV configuration. There are alot of things that can cause the loss of power/poor running. Some places to start include:
1) Timing (especially since you had recent head work done)
2) Compression test
3) Boost leak test
4) Ignition coils
5) If you have concerns about the plugs you can just replace them. A set of NGK BPR6ES's should only cost $8-10. Examine the used plug tips to get an idea if you may be running too rich (or lean although your description doesn't really suggest it).
Good luck.

well I replaced all the plugs, compression test was 125 across the board cold, timing is dead on, and still no go. It's still running like crap, any help please, thanks in advanced. UPDATE: well ireplaced plug wires and still nothing, I dont know why but I checked the injectors and number 2 was bad, so tomarrow I will replace it and let you guys know what happens. thanks for all your help. UPDATE: well the number two injector was not the problem, the capasitors were leaking that crap on the board, and that all she wrote. I toke it to a guy that rebuilds ecu's, I got to pick it up tomarrow, he charged me 88 bucks, not that bad of a deal! will update at the next step, things just escalade.
