engine replacement>>>help

Ok heres my problem >just recently purchased a 1994 eagle talon esi.(at least the door jam says 1994)But it doesnt have the mitsabushi 2.0 in it .Its the chrysler version .i do not have a title for the car .But its the year the body style changed .ok to the point here ,It was seized up .So im off looking for a replacement motor for it .Now my question is what year motor will go back into the car ?...is there only certain years ? say 1995 -97?,im in a hurry to replace this motor so any help would be appreciated .im not doing the turbo thing .but just want to get the car running again..........please help me out here .i searched every forum i could find .and yes ,maybe im a idiot here but its my first talon..........oh yes i just want to drop the motor in and go ........so no i do not wiring changes etc etc .........please help me out here .....Thanks

if you just want to drop in an engine and go, then get another chrysler 2.0 engine.

im assuming its the newer body style. get a motor that fits those years.
you should be able to type your vin number into carfax and it will tell you what year it is...i believe.

Ok the car is a june 1994 talon.....so i guess its one of the first for the new chrysler motor.again some one correct me here if im wrong........but my question is since its a 94 .am i limited in what year motor i can put in this?.......i understand it has to be a chrysler motor but can i put a newer motor in with out all the computor and wiring hassles?.....also will any chrysler 2.o work or does it have to come from a talon?.........sorry if my questions are kind of not bright .but always been driving my ford mustang .but i love this car and want it on the road asap.........please some one help me out here or direct me to where i can find what motors i can transplant ...........and thanks chris for your reply but im looking for a little more info than you offered .but again thanks..............HELP!!!!!!

its probably a 95 model year. it should be a 420a. any motor from a non turbo 95-99 talon/eclipse should bolt right in.

try going to tigerjapanese.com they sell a shit load of jdm engines or if u give them a call they should be able to help you find an engine your only problem might be that its a canadian company

90-94 non turbos have the mitsu engine 95-98 non turbo have the crysler engine (which is the neon 16 valve engine)
