Ok, I got a question. If your alternator goes, normally will a light on the dash come on? I'm pretty sure the first time my alternator died a light did. Well tonight i installed my frontmount, then went for a ride(or 2) Anyway, when I left to go home my lights seemed very dim. So I pulled into the gas station and sat there for a minute and the car started idling really crappy, then died. Tried to start it again, and no power. So i waited 5 minutes, and then it started right up:mad: So I started to drive back to my friends house and all of a sudden while I was driving i had no power. i was gonna roll to the next turn, then all of a sudden i got power back but I had no lights, no radio, no safc, nothing.... but the car was running fine:confused: So finally I get to his house and park. Wait 5 minutes and it starts again, runs for 2 minutes, then dies. Turn the key and nothing. Does this sound like a alternator that just died all of a sudden? I have a warranty so getting another isnt an issues, I just dont wanna look like a jerk by going in and telling them they have to rebuild it and its actually fine. Please help me

Check your voltage when you are driving. See if the alt is charging, above 12v. Anything above 12 its charging and 12 and under you are running off the battery, but from what you are saying you battery terminals are loose or need cleaning because even if the alt was not charging you should still have battery power. So check the battery terminals.
