I have a 98 gst stock. Fairly new rebuild. Has ran good for a year after. Then I started getting the P170 error code. Something to do with fuel control. After a while it started running on just cylinders 2 and 3. And getting a P301 code. Which is something like. Multiple irratic cylinder misfires. I have changed out the ecu with a know good. I have tested fire in all cylinders. And have tested the injectors 1 2 3 4. All tested good electrically. I replaced the plugs and did some testing. I found that cylinders 2 and 3 have fuel and look like they are running. (obviously engine runs like crap) but cylinders 1 and 4 are dry and still look like new plugs. I have voltage to the injector and have tested the wiring to the injectors. Which shows that I'm not getting voltage pulse to the injectors 1 and 4.
Observations:
I have fire to 1, 2, 3, and 4 I have fuel and fuel pressure on fuel rail
I swapped out the ecu with know good. Checked wiring harness for bare spots.

What does a PCM do?

The PCM has drivers in its internal that allow it to turn the injectors and other high amperage draw components on and off. I know I'm not supposed to make suggestions if I dont' know the answer but im gonna anyway. I know on a 1g they use a resistor pack for the injectors I'm not sure wether they use the same setup on a 2g though. But it could get the brain juices flowing for others who'd know for sure :thumb:
