some where in Jersey..,
New Jersey
hey guys/girls.
Okay i had some problem with the car and took it to the shop to get few problem fixed. Found out that coilpack was arching after i changed the plug wires with ngk, So over the weekend i try to swap the coilpack out with the 1g coilpack i bought while back. So i unbolt the 2g coilpack under the intake mani but i couldn't get it out of there and i missed driving my car so i decide to just mount it on the side until i take it to the shop to get it done right. So i plug the wires on the new one 4-1-2-3 on coilpack and 4-3-2-1 [1 being close to the timing belt], car cranks but won't start at all also first time i crank it back fired. So decide to try with the old one [2g] same result car will crank but won't start. So is there something that i'm doing wrong? I know there is only 1 harness that is connected to the coilpack which is the first thing that i disconnect from old one to new one.
Little bit info on the car
rebuilt 6bolt motor in
evo III 16g
255lph fuel pump
exhaust
intake
fmic... etc
I know fuel pump works since when i try to crank it all i smell is fuel. Also i ask somebody who own a dsm told me that 95 with 6bolt swap has different firing order is this true? Also i try swaping to 3-4-2-1 but car crank but doesn't start and check all the wire to see if they were loose. So does coilpack has to be grounded somewhere and there is only 1 harness that connect to coilpack correct?
Thank you,
Joe
I really need to get this problem fixed so i could get the car runnin and drive it back to philly for school.
