um well i have a 92 tsi awd i just put a new moter in it a week ago car ran good/ very good
well last night i was drivving home from work and it stalled out. i tryed restaerting it and it didnt work, i looked at my safc1 and the hz were jumping from 3 to 2200 when the car wasent runnning after tapping the gm mafs it got it to start up drove it anonother mile to my hause and it stlled out in my drive way. i go to crank it over and i hear clicking from were my ecu is, i pull the carpet out and realize the realay starts clicking when the key is on after i carnk it once, so i replace the relay, tey to start it and the same thing happens, i go to the junk yard get another ecu, pop it and still the same thing, i notice that when i crank i see rpm at my safc but my tach in the dash does not move,

any one have any idea? i opened up the old ecu and i had already had new caps and a bridge for the chip. and everything looked ok

did you check the new ecu to make sure it was good? sounds to me like you got a bad ecu. pop it open and look for leaky caps. just because some meat head at a boneyard pulled it out of a running car 5 years ago doesn't mean it's still going to work. the caps leak from duration of their life, not from the duration of their use. pop your new ecu open and inspect it - also make sure it's the right one.

Since you had to tap your GM MAF to get it to start did you ever think that might be the problem.
