Please help! car hesitates and bogs at 3k rpm

I bought a 99 eclipse gst about 5 months ago thinking the reason it hesitates or bogs at around 3000rpm is because a cheap ebay bov was on the car and was not even tightened properly. Any how i put in a real hsk bov, then went to stock. someone suggested fuel problems so i changed the injectors, then all new plugs and then all new wires. Im out of ideas.. i need HELP.

When it gets to around 2.5 to 3 rpm the car stuggles and also the car smells like fuel too. the major thing is on the boost gauges it shows the car vacuum at around 10 at idle..

its a 99 gst auto with about 109k miles..

Have you checked the plugs/wires? Have you changed the fuel filter? Have you checked the ECU? And finaly check for boost leaks..
Let us know the results..

i changed the fuel filter, plugs and wires..

whats the easiest way of going about the boost leak.. i swapped the uicp and the bov to see if the leak was around there. same shinz........ what i wanna know is if the transmitter can cause this problem? because when i changed the tps i didnt properly connect the transmitter and the problem got worse. then when i plugged it in correctly it went back to the origanal problem..


any help will be very beneficial.

What are you referring to transmitter??
10in.hg vacuum indicates you have a leak, check that out with the link above.

make sure that your maf is plugged in it has those same effects, but it sounds like a major boost leak probably just blew a coupler and oversaw it. Make a boost leak tester like blackbyrd showed you and tell us the results.

I wanted to add another thing that concerns me about the car stumbing at around 3k rpm. I smell gas and even something burning if I press the gas while its in neutral. Also when the car is in idle i see like a whilte bluish color smoke coming from the tailpipe.
