Okay so here's the scoop: I was leaving work and accidentally stalled my car, no big whoop. So I'm leaving work and notice that my clutch pedal feels a LOT looser then before. Before the clutch would start to release without me pushing the pedal too far down, but now the clutch won't start to release till i have the pedal almost all the way to the floor. So I managed to make it home but just before I got home I went to shift and i couldn't get it into any gear, i had to work really hard just to get it into 5th but that's all i could get it into. The shifter simply would NOT go into any other gear, no matter how hard I tried. The only way I could get it into another gear was to turn the car off and while the car was off put it into gear, then start the car again and if I took it out of that gear once the car was running I couldn't get it back in. I know this could be several different things, but do you guys think you might be able to help me diagnose the problem?

When the last time you changed your clutch? When my car wouldnt go into gear it was because of the clutch springs broke and it happened 4 times already to me. And today on my way home this morning I was in 3rd gear than I jus got mad vibration and I took it out of gear and now it wont go into gear. I had to shut off the car put it in gear than start it and it started to take off as I cranked it. It wouldnt let me go pass 3rd gear and i had to drive like 6 miles on the parkway going 35 mph. Also te clutch pedal is mad siff, and I was planning putting in my new turbo instead looks like ill be doin a clutch job today

The first thing to look at would be the fluid level in the reservoir, if it's low then check master and slave clutch cylinders. On the front of the tranny is a cylinder that pushes on the release fork. Pull the boot back and check for leakage. While you're there, check/follow the clutch line also for leakage. Next is the master......look inside the car behind the pedal area, you will probably need to pull the carpet back, check for fluid leakage.

In reality if one cylinder is bad, you should change both and forget about them for a while. However, budget might have a say in the matter.

Do the simple items first before you start tearing a tranny out.

Yes true facts diffently check for leaks first if now that than you gonna need a new clutch.
I have a Jdm Switchable tranny Awd<>Fwd and when in Fwd mode the clutch last's about 300 miles and that happenin 3 times. This time i decided to leave it in Awd because I was havin a lot of wheel hop in Fwd. But this time it only lasted 650 miles in Awd. What could be causing my clutch springs to break. My car is completly stock besided the tranny. Also if anyone has had a problem with springs breakin which clutch did you choose? So far im thinkin about the SBR 3500 or the ACt 2600 .One more thing if I use a 4 puck or 6puck unsprung clutch that would kill my stock tranny?
Ps: Not tryin to jack your thread im jus really tired of changing clutches and I been having your same problem week after week

Ha it's all good bro, I think i figured it out anyways. The fluid was completely dry so i topped it off and pumped it, and it works now but the pedal still doesn't feel or catch quite right (but that can be fixed/adjusted) but I looked down by the pedal and saw some fluid on the wall, so it looks like I'll be needing a new master cylinder for my clutch.

If the master has to be done, then you should also replace the slave (if budget allows) as it won't be far behind, plus it's a much easier task to complete. And the pedal will be come back after the parts have been replace and a proper bleeding of the line occurs.
