What would cause the brake light to be on? It came on the other day and it has me a bit worried.

The reason the light came on is because you lacked enough brake fluid for the sensor in the master cylinder. When the pads wear, the hydraulic braking system requires more fluid, using more out of the master cylinder, lowering the level of fluid in the reservoir. This will cause your light to go on.caseymish said:mine came on because my pads were so worn that it couldnt tell when it was on or off.
