Ok, so here's a little background on the car.........
1997 GST with a 6-bolt swap(car has not been on road really since swap.....not running good). The setup is all built mechanically correct. Compression is 155-165psi across the board. I did the 1G CAS swap and used a green-top because I could not get ahold of a black-top at the time. The wiring is done according to the RRE diagram seen all over this site.
Spark plugs.......BRP7ES(brand new)
Plug wires.........NGK 7mm(kinda old)
Coils.................known good
Resistor............known good
ECU.................stock '97 GST
Injectors..........stock 450s
F/P..................stock pump
Filter................NEW replacement fuel filter
Turbo..............EVO III 16G fully ported
Head...............Fully ported/polished(stock valves/cams)
Exhaust...........Espelir 85mm(no catalyst)

So basically the ignition system is new and good. The main thing is that I took my EVAP components off and blocked off the nipple for them on the T/B and the solenoid on the firewall. The other EGR emmissions stuff is still ran as stock. The intercooler piping is 3" all the way and is solid piping with like 2 breaks for couplers and the MafT.......so there are no leaks and I have cecked multiple times as well. Car holds well above 20psi.......and intake gasket/valve seat and injector seals are all new as well.
Here's my problem.......when I crank the car with the stock MAF hooked up, here's the numbers from the log that I ran with my PocketLogger...
With stock 2G MAF.......
- RPM 1200
-CTS 195*F
-STFT 17%
-LTFT 0%
-LOAD 17%
-Air Temp. 77*F
-TPS 4%
-Timing 17*
-O2 #1 .48V 17%
-O2 #2 .04V 17% (dummy O2)
-Air Flow .73lb/min.

If I hook up the MafT setup, the car will not rev above 1900rpm and stumbles all over the place! The settings on the MafT are set to AUX 2, BASE 4 to allow for my stock 450cc injectors and the stuff that I have on my car.

Ok ,if you need any other info, just let me know and I'll get it to you ASAP.......any and I mean ANY help is greatly appreciated guys.:thumb:
Thanx for everything,

i have had 2 or 3 DSm that have done it due to the gas tank being filled with rust just would studder and miss and not rev above 2500.

The Mustang I resotred did that, so it has crossed my mind and so has a clogged injector issue/ old fuel filter. But the thing is, I replaced the fuel filter and the tank/injectors were in my 7-bolt before it blew and that engine ran perfect before the rod let loose. So I do not think that is the issue here and when my car was down, I made sure that the tank was pretty much full so that there was not too much room for moisture and other stuff to collect.
Seems to me like and ignition problem being as that is the only thing that I had trouble with.....the 1G CAS swap, but I was wondering if others had seen this problem. The timing being 17*+ at 1200RPM hot is concerning me. If I take care of that, I think I will be on the correct path to success. My problem is that I work on VWs all week and only have previous experience on bike engines and old muscle cars, so the Japanese market is quite new and very different to say the least.
But thatnx for the input man, I need a bunch of things to check in order to make the list of possibilities smaller and smaller. I'll get her fixed sometime, but it's pissing me off since I blew the engine backin Feb. and have been working a lot on the car since then.....this ahs been the past 3 months just on this one issue that will not go away, so I cannot tune my car until it is "running".:toobad:
Thanx guys,
