Ok I just finished a 6 bolt swap on a 95 . Anyway for some reason I do not have fire on cylenders 2 and 3. I have already tried 3 coil packs and 3 ingniters and came up with the same results. Any one know somthing else to try?

I have already swaped the 2 and 4 and 1 and 3 wires too.

Yes i am sure it is just on cylender 2 and 3. Another ECU is the only part i do not have anohter one of to try. But i will when i can find one. I was wondering if I got the two blue wires crossed on the CAS when i rewired it what would happen too? i am like 95 percent sure I did not but you never know. And I also fixed a 1G one time that was not firing on 2 cylenders with a new ECU but did not know if it would end up being the smae on a 2G. THe ECU in the car work fine like 3 or 4 mounths ago the last time I had it running. Any more thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have read those sites backwards and forwards. I used the information there to do the swap. They still do not say anythign about a car not firing on 2 cylinders. I was hoping that someone had had the same problem before and knew what it took to fix it. And if anyone accually wired the 2 signal wires up backwards and knew what happens when you do that. Anyway I am goign to recheck the wiring. I will post if that is where i screwed up. Any other advice would be apreaciated. peace out!

I am going through the same exact thing. I have tried 2 ECU's , 2 CAS's, 2 pow trans units, 3 different coils, with no luck at all. I also thought maybe I wired it wrong, I swapped wires around and I can get 1&4 to spark or 2&3 to spark depending which way I wire it, however I can never get them all to spark. I am thoroughly confused at this point if I figure anything out I will let you know and you do the same.

After searching the forumns this seems to be a fairly common thing with the swap, however alot of people never figure it out or forget to post what solved the problem. I personally think its wiring or something I did wrong and not a faulty part.

Did you guys swap the injector wires to the ecu or invert the cas signal? When I first did my 6 bolt swap I had the same problem. I inverted the cas signal and no start. I tried swapping spark plug wires and after trying a bunch of times I managed to get it to fire on what I guessed was two cylinders. But, I found out that you got to swap the two wires on the back of the ignition coil for it to work.

Let me know what happens.

as of right now im in the same boat with you guys on the 1g head in a 2g. i read all of rre and i didnt see the part where it said switch the wires on the back of coils? i did option b for the wiring were i had to go in and switch the injectors wires in the ecu..im aware of changing around the sparkplug wires as well..

thanx

Quoted from the bottom of RRE method 2:
The spark coil signal is inverted. Looking at the coils, label each wire A,B,C,D. Change the spark plug wire locations: A is now C, B is now D, C is now A and D is now B. Another way to do this is to change the trigger wires to the coil, (3 wire triangle plug, next to the igniter). Switch the two blue wires. One is blue with red stripe, the other is blue with black stripe. The third wire that remains unchanged is black with white stripe.

and also:
When removing the pins on your ECU wiring harness be patient and delicate. It requires no force to remove the pins. Consult the diagram in the front of your electrical service manual regarding the proper way to inspect and remove pins. You will need a tiny jewelers screwdriver, (1/16 in) to release a plastic catch holding the pin's in. Use a flashlight and take a good look at the harness before beginning.

Green: Pin 1 is now 14
Green w/ yellow stripe: Pin 2, is now Pin 1
Green w/ red stripe: Pin 15, is now Pin 2
Yellow w/ black stripe: Pin 14 is now Pin 15

Now look at the diagram and see what pins 1,2,14 and 15 are.

I finally got mine to fire on all four cylinders, I dont know if it was because the knock sensor was unhooked or if it was because there was a bad connection. I lengthened the power transistor harness in order to reach the stock 6bolt location and I may have had a loose connection, I ended up shortening it back up and relocating the transistor pack. One of the two was the culprit, not sure on the whole knock sensor thing I'm sure someone else can confirm whether or not that would cause it. I would have tried disconnecting it to see but at this point I don't want to see my car not start after all this frusteration.:thumb: :thumb:
