Ok for the past couple weeks there has been this metallic squeak coming from the front passenger side of my car, it seems to happen at random, under no specific conditions but i notice it happens more when i am like taking off from a stop light or slowing down in gear, especially in a low one like 1st or second. I have NO CLUE, what it could be. It just sounds like metal rubbing together, maybe like something is supposed to be bolted to something and its moving and making a squeak. Seems to have slowly become louder and more frequent in the past couple days. Help? If needed i can probably get a video.

They stop fine, but its not when im using the brakes though, Ill be completely off the brakes letting the car engine brake itself and i hear this squeak, heres a video clip i just got.
Listen closely at 13 seconds into the video, you can hear it, and its even worse going over the speedbump, im starting to think it might be suspension related, but which part I havent a clue.

I have dial up and take forever to down load that.
But yes when your pads are getting low they will squeek just while driving around. There is a metal clip that rubs the rotor notifying you its time to change the pads. You dont need to be braking to hear it, most cases it wont squeek when braking until theyre really bad.

Just take off the wheel and look through the caliper peek hole and you will see if they are really worn.

Ill check em tomorrow, so it sounds like that could be the problem then, typical for it to come and go(the sound) as it pleases?

Yes thats how it goes. I actually just had the same problem a couple weeks ago. I replaced all mine. It will squeek for a bit(probally 50 miles) then it should be good go away.

let me know how the pads look.

Don't use antiseize on anything to do with brakes. Antisieze cannot take the heat produced by brakes. There is a special grease you can get at the parts store specificially designed for brakes. It's expensive, but it works.

Well I wont be able to check them today, but ill check them tomorrow after i get off of work. The noise is so annoying though, i barely have to start moving before it will do it, and when creeping to a stop at a light its so embarassing, makes my car sound like its a bucket LOL.
