I did the fuel pump rewire mod, and think I reversed the 85/86 ground/power by accident.
I ran it about a month like this, the car not wanting to start and cranking very slowly but always starting. It wouldnt start last week and lost all power, i noticed that when i took the fuse out of my new fp wire all the accessories turned back on. The battery read about 12.7v So I redid the ground wire on the relay and it worked for about a week.
Now it wouldn't start even by jumping it. In an attempt to figure out the problem I replaced a frayed ground wire on the battery and tried jump starting it, which got it started and home. As soon as I turned it off it would not start back up and there is no power to any accessories.
I re-read the vfaq and noticed I had had the 85/86 backwards so I fixed those, but the battery is still dead. No accessories turn on even with the new fp wire disconnected and the relay unplugged. The battery now reads about ~10 volts with my multimeter.
Should I try buying a new battery? I'm so frustrated with this.
