I read and search but haven't found the same problems I'm having. I have 92 laser 1.8 non turbo manul trans. that only shifts into 1st, 2nd, and reverse 3rd is like neutral 4th and 5th grind. Is this a fixable problem or should I just replace. Where the best place to look for a used trans. ? what years will work? Thanks in advance

If you are not proficient in trans overhaul, I would go to a salvage yard and purchase a transmission. Expect around 300 to 600 depending on the miles and how bad they think you need it. You should then get a 30 day warranty.
