Ever since I put in my FMIC with a turboXS bov I've had this problem - I know it's the BOV, and I hate the frickin thing, but instead of cutting it off and welding the 1G back on I'm going to try to fix it. For the record the TurboXS is not vented, it's routed back into the intake.

Mostly in 5th gear.. If I accellerate, build boost, then let off the gas, even if I BARELY let off the gas, the BOV will sound, and the car will buck crazy.. It'll do it in lower gears, but 5th is worse.

I tried adding/taking out washers on the TXS, but it's the same. Is it just the shitty BOV? I don't remember it ever happening with my 1G bov.

Any ideas on anything I can do besides ripping it off and putting the 1G on?

Thanks

What clutch are you running?

The clutch doesn't have anything to do with it.

For the original poster, if the BOV has an adjustment screw up top, try loosening it a little bit to allow it to open more effectively under lower pressure. If it's non-adjustable, I'd replace it. Compressor surge really does suck.

Edit: I see you've tried adjusting it with no luck. In that case, maybe someone who runs a TXS can jump in and offer some suggestions. I had one when I bought the car and couldn't wait to throw the thing in the trash.
