Ok i went to change my clutch today and we got everything off but the axles. They are stuck in the transmission. We tryed everything we could think of or find on here. Any suggestions?

Did you happen to try getting a pry bar on a lip of the axle and prying against the transmission? It shouldn't take too much force to pop the axles out.

Oh, I'm not sure if DSM axles have this or not, but some vehicles have a retaining clip holding each axle in place, on the side that the axles go into the tranny. Look around for these clips, if you haven't already pulled them if they're there.

Hope this helps.

Screw driver and hammer will do it, just wedge the screwdriver b/w the shaft and trans, give it a tap and it should be free

usually i just get a big screw driver or pry bar and put it agianst the lip and give it a quick pop it comes right out.. like said earler it has a small clip that holds it in..

You need to take a pry bar to them, they need a quick pry from a pry bar to come out. Be careful not to mess up the splines on the axles, or they wont work.

the side side just has a carrier bearing bolted onto the engine block.. just unbolt that, and it comes out.. passenger side is a bit harder, i usually pull the battery, and take all of that stuff out, then use a screwdriver and it pops right out.. this is how my 99 GSX is, i'm not sure if its the same for you? it isnt too bad after you do it a few times...

I've done a few DSM's and only had a problem once. And it was on a car I had replaced them 1 year before. So I knew it wasn't old and I knew it wasn't jammed on there. Yet it was stuck beyond belief.
I even dropped the tranny and pulled the plate to see if something was messed up inside.
I ended up taking two large screwdrivers and wedging them on each side a lil at a time, more and more.
Eventually it popped. I figured the splines were screwed up, but when I looked it was fine. Almost like it was vacuum locked or something...

Hope that helps... Usually they do pop right off, but not always.

Oh yeah and if you have access to a lift use it, it will be much easier to lift it and pop the axles, then pulling battery, ect, just to get them from the top.
