Edmonton,
Is it possible to adjust our hood latch height? I installed projector headlights and they sit about an 1/8 of an inch higher for some reason - very minor difference but enough to cause my carbon fibre hood not to latch properly without pushing really hard which I don't want to do. I also have hood pins but I want to keep using the stock latch for some extra peace of mind.

I havent had a chance to attempt to adjust it just want to know if anyone else has experience with it and can save me a bit of time.

No, you can't adjust the hood latch. It is bolted on to the center radiator support/frame bar.

Adjust the round rubber stops up or down to remove the gap. I attached a pic below, there are 4 rubber stops circled in red.

I've tried the two corner ones(the big ones) I havent tried the centre ones. The hood used to close properly until the projectors went on. I'll play with the centre ones when I get home. Thanks for the heads up. I could always drill bigger holes for the latch and use washers - worst case scenario.

I don't think you can do that. The bottom nut under the hood latch is welded on to the center radiator support bar. If you drill bigger holes and use washers you will be bolting it to a very thin piece of metal. Fabricate or demel whatever you can out of the projectors, don't mess with the hood latch.

If you adjust the center rubber stops, your problem will go away.

Good to know. It's so close I'm sure I'll be able to get it to close with tinkering(hopefully).

I adjusted the inner black knobs as far down as they would go and with a little pressure the hood will now close. Hopefully that solves it.
