no a/c

before anyone says anything, no im not removing it....

with that said, i now have totally no ac, it was a gradual decrease so i assumed that it ran out of fridgerant. i bought one of those kits from advanced auto, hooked it up and it read just between the green/blue(full / add some) so i push the button to add, and it shot to the yellow. i didnt even hold the button a second, is it suppose to do this? or is there potentially something wrong elsewhere.

You have a leak somewhere. It may be better left to professionals to find the leak for you. They use dyed freon and most of the time if they can find your leak and fix it. Heres the cool part, if it leaks (freon) out again after they fix it then they have to recharge it again for you for free. If you fix the leak your self and it leaks you have to come out of your own pocket for more refridgerant.
