so i failed my test for the third time today. heres the results:
s=standard r= my readings

HC : S[ 0.8000 ] R[ 2.5950 ]

CO : S[ 15.0 ] R [ 17.6069 ]

Nox:S [ 2.0000] R [0.9928]

i reliazed i have an exhaust leak which is pretty loud at idle think that is my problem ?

Are you in Cali? I know they trip out around here when it comes to stuff like that. You might want to take care of that exhaust leak, regardless of whether it's your ultimate problem. It probably isn't helping your situation.

do you know what units those are in? Your NOx seems alittle high.
I believe emissions are read in PPM (parts per million). It looks like you failed on excesive Hydrocarbons(HC) and Carbonmonoxide(CO), assuming that your timing is correct, ignition and fuel components are all within specificaitions and opperating properly, a new catalytic converter should bring those HC's and CO down into passing spec.

Exhaust leak deffinetly effects your emission readings. Even the leaks that you cant hear. In our country, when you have a heardable exhaust leak, they will not even let you drive in the tec inspection. They allready know, taht they can't get ANY correct readings from the exhaust.
