Driving my tsi, in second, floored it, started pulling like crazy, let off, and still ran but was very rough almost sounding like only 2 cylinders were firing along with some backfiring. Checked around, the wastegate hose was off. checked for boost leaks(or a blown gasket in this case) and found no leaks at all when it was pressurized to 20 psi. I know that doesnt meen i didnt blow a head gasket, but how would I check, and what else could it be. its basically stock and was running stock boost before this incident...

Please, any ideas on what could have happened from the boost going out of control?

Found the problem, checked the spark plugs and the plug for cylinder 1 was yellow and the insulator near the tip would slide back and forth. Replaced and runs just as before, except with a new hose and clamp to the wastegate. :D
