Keller,
Texas
I have a 96 Eclipse RS, and I went to go get it inspected( I live in Texas) and some of the readings say "Incomplete" and asked if i recently disconnected the battery, etc, and i told them i havent for a month,So, we drove it for 100 miles like the recommended, and they still say Incomplete, and my car cant pass inspection with out it. I believe something is wrong with the ECU, and im curious if any of you have any ideas of what might be wrong and/or what I can do. I have a OBD logger, so i can easily find out if they ever become complete or not. Any help would be nice, i want to spend as little of money as possible.
Edit: Ok, I must of been tired last night or something, and now remember and know that the ECU's have these problems, and found on the fourms that i can take it to the dealer to have it reset then go straight to inspection. But I am curious, one guy in another fourm said this
"Take it back up there and tell them to read the notice about the hyundai and mitsubishi OBDIIs not reading correctly. Usually the machines automatically switch over to ASM or TSI if they're ESP machines..."
What is he talking about and do I not have to go over to a dealer to have it fixed?
