Im done installing my new walbro fuel pump and now the car wont start. I made sure the battery was all hooked up and all the plugs and wires are connected properly on the pump. I even backed off the 19mm nut and cranked the car to see if fuel would spit out. So I know it is working properly but why wont the car start? It was working a few hours ago. Anybody got some quick ideas. Its starting to get late and I need to finish quick. Thanks in advance.

Yes I know for a fact its not ignition. Im still stuck tho.

Did you do a pressure check, why did you replace the pump?

I think there is a pressure sensor into the ECU but I've not studied the circuit enought to explain it how it may affect starting. Did you disconnect battery before starting pump replacement? Do you have any codes?

You may need to have a ride until this can get sorted out.

No code thrown yet, but I replaced the stocker with a walbro 255. Hopefully tommorro I can get this worked out.

Well got the problem fixed. No more doing work at night for me. What happened is the rubber fuel line was getting twisted up under the car. We were holding the line with some pliers so it wouldn't spin when we were putting the nut on. However, it still twisted up the hose. I guess I should have just got under the car and took that line off instead, because it was much much easier.

Argh, I seem to recall you saying you had plenty of fuel pressure which obviously was not true. You could have had us going round and round for days... "It's not nice to fool mother nature" :) Glad it's fixed and we can mark this one closed. You learned a good lesson that a little extra time can prevent problems. I don't want to be reading about anymore shortcuts...
