Hello fellow tuners this is somewhat of a read but bear with me please,

Here is my mod list.
-Mopar clutch
-2.5"exhaust from 02 back(Buschur)
-MBC(Buschur) set at 15lbs
-2.25" Upper Intercooler pipe
-1g BOV
-ngk bpr6es gapped at .028(installed a month ago)
-MSD super conductor Ignition wires

First off I have been living in the city of Pittsburgh for about a year now ever since I transferred colleges. The second I got here it has become very obvious to me that my car seems much underpowered, yet when I go back to my home town in North East Ohio, the car feels amazing! I don't know what could be the problem. Oh and on the highway I feel like a gremlin could out run me.

Also to further complicate things i've noticed that when i rev really hard there is a lot of dark matter coming out of the tail pipe and landing on the ground. Sometimes the matter is damp and sometimes it is not. There is also smoke that comes out of the car if it has been sitting for a while and I suddenly go Wide Open Throttle. The smoke is, for the most part, dark grey, however once it was almost black. Now today I got worried because I Think that I saw white smoke, but there were so many junky cars around me that it could have been one of them

  • Is my car running rich because of the thinner atmosphere in the mountains? if so maybe the computer is faulty...
  • Perhaps do you think a boost leak could cause this?
  • Maybe the turbo is going bad? even though it boosts alright in ohio
  • Could the Blow off Valve be bad, or leaking?
  • Is it just the nut behind the wheel ? :p
  • My stock side mount is pushed in and some fins are bent, but only on the side facing the turbo, could this cause a problem?
  • Or is my 02 sensor going bad again!?

where in pittsburgh ? Comeon over well get you fixed up. Could be you running rich from a boost leak or something. If you want, we can do a boostleak test if you like.- Matt

If it's 'used' to thinner air, it'd run leaner when it got to a more oxygen-rich environment.

Try resetting your ECU, see if that settles things up. Beyond that, only thing that'll tell you one way or the other is a datalogged pull, or a bit of dyno time with a wideband.

Yes, a boost leak could do it. Doubtful, though. More likely to be the gas difference between the locations.

I'm going to the art institute, and I have no idea how to get to monroeville or century III, I do however know how to get to Robinson town center or the mall off of Mcknight Road.

I just checked a few things out, I checked my oil for any difference in color and texture, and it looks fine. I checked my coolant reservoir and it is actually slightly full. I let the car idle and after it got up to operating temp, I revved it to about 5k and then white smoke came out, I left it be for a few minutes, then revved again and it took a few seconds but white smoke came out still. So I took my Intake pipe off and there was some oil in it, and there was also some on the outside of the turbo where the intake pipe connects. I checked for shaft play, there was about 1/8" in and out, and nothing noticeable side to side or up and down

this doesn't seem like a headgasket problem to me.

If I were to make an educated guess, I would think that its either Condensation from sitting(I don't drive the car an awful lot)

or

The turbo is bad...
