clutch and shift linkages??

I just bougt A 91 GS-T and the guy said it had a new clutch put in 15,000 miles ago, but the friction point is is almost at the floor when i push the clutch in??? any ideas?? Also sometimes when going to put it into first it doesnt want to go in or shoots out after i think i put it in gear. Is there anyway to adjust the shift linkages because there are no grinds otherwise in the transmission? thanks

check out vfaq.com It'll show you how to adjust your clutch.

You need to adjust it where its not so close to the floor. Thats why sometimes it won't go into first.
