Problem: Ok i have a couple problems that may contribute to this but i start off with my spark plug wire that goes on to the 2nd from the left spark plug steadly pops off about 1/4 inch out (not completly off the plug though). Also the wire on the absolute right going into the coil pack pops completely off. Now the contributing problems... i have irregular idle surge. i say irregular because i cant pin point exactly when it happens it just comes n goes. My surge goes up to 2k and stays (very very annoying). I have not cleaned the TB. Um not sure if you need anymore info but i really need any help im ready to drive my car into a tree and set it on fire with joy.

What type of wires do you have on there? I had a similar problem with my msd wires, so I took them off and looked inside the rubber connector to see what the problem was. I grabbed some needle nosed plyers and pinched the metal clip inside the just a little so that It will grab on to the spark plug a little better. This has worked for me since then and its been about 6 months. Solved my idle/wierd throttle response problems that I was having.

my wires arent msd they are some knock offs from ebay.. i checked to see if i could tighten the metal fastener that goes over the plug but it was a soild circle (no room to crip) with another half circle support sleeve... instead i disc. the pcv vavle n it was still in good condition but instead of routing it back to the intake manifold i caped the manifold nipple and got a longer hose for the pcv vavle and ran a catch can setup (i dont have an actuall catach can i just put a breather at the other end of the hose for now) and so far the wire on the 2nd from the left plug poped off again but the one connected to the coil pack is on (for now it may take a day of driven to come loose). i also zip tied the vacuum hose connections... so far it is idlen very smooth. i just wish i could keep the dam wire on the freakin plug! uggh the agony of race cars LOL
