Okay so I had my car idling today and I could hear some ticking.. Sounded to me like the maybe the valves were rattling. Would it be better to swap to a 1G head and is it possible? Anything special needed to do it besides the head?

Yes the 1g head has larger ports for the intake, so it will be an advantage to put a 1g on. There is some stuff you will need.

1g intake manifold
1g radiator pipe that runs in front of the block
1g thermostat housing
1g throttle body
1g radiator pipe from the bottom of the radiator to the radiator pipe in front of the block

That is just some of the stuff i can think of off the top of my head. There are acutal write ups on www.roadraceengineering.com.

I'm not sure.. could be lifter tick it's not continuous. It's only when the car has been idling for quite some time.. Like today it snowed so I had my car warming up for about 15 minutes, and when I went outside I could hear it ticking a little bit. Drove it up to my girlfriends and the ticking was gone when I got out and listened.. Sound like lifters to you? How do you go about fixing it?
