Rebuilt 2.3L stroker with 175 compression across.

I have blue smoke that is coming out of the exhaust.

The intake snorkel has oil in it where it connects to the turbo but the rurbo does not have any shaft paly. T28 has 20k miles on it.

Bad seals?

Can't be your piston rings because your compression seems really good, whats your compression ratio anyway?

T-28 on a 2.3L? Probably got overworked LOL, it must be your seals in the turbo. Anyway, now you can get a turbo thats more matched with that 2.3L stroker.

Supposed to be Manley 8:5:1

Yea, I will be using a stock T25 until I can get this T28 rebuilt or I will probably just buy a used 50 trim.

Stupid question, you did put the valve seals in correctly right?

I rebuilt the bottom end and slapped a used head on that was in good working condition prior.

I drove around today and made a point to not get into boost and of course a few times I went into boost a bit but typically I was in vacuum 95% of my driving. Looks like the oil has ceased burning.

I am going to slap a stock T25 on tomorrow night and get on it and see what happens with my oil levels.

After talking with a friend of mine who is really knowledgeable we have come to the conclusion that those rings are for extra support since the oiling rings go around the wrist pin area. Since my compression is good I think it's safe to assume my rings are good for now. If I can get to winter again when I plan on rebuilding my tranny I will be happy. Then I will go ahead and put the support rings on.
