I was thinking about replacing ALL of my brake lines. not just the attachment stuff that hits the Calipers.
from ABS to calipers. from rear brakes to distribution off the master cylinder.
What type of fittings do these connections use. I'm not concerned about inbetween, I can use my own aircraft type fittings, double flare ect.. whatever works for high pressure.
does anyone know the type of connector to hit the master and abs connections . everything inbetween I dont' care about. I can splice and cut and flare and make my own lines out of stainless.. I'm not having it rust out and bust open ever again.
I was considering using an alternative mounting system too instead of going thru the weld points.. I was going to modify the underbody and mount the tubing up with rubber line clamps like they use on aircraft to maintain the line so it doesnt require additional fittings just to pass thru the sections of the underbody.. this was the original reason why it corroded away anyhow.
I'm kinda ticked. and was considering chucking this car because of this problem. but sometimes I overreact .. I was gonna buy another 92. southern, but I"m gonna try to fix this one and make it 50x better.
