wow im thinking about getting another car.... remember last post i got the check engine light.....well come to find out its a vacum leak that i cant find so i might just have to take it to the shop....2nd problem is now i cant really walk the car...u know come off the clutch with no gas... it feels like its going to just go dead right then and there...no turbo guys...i searched the forums alot of problems like mine but theres were turbo....also just checked my oil its fine...but i still have a small leak somewhere because still have a lil oil by my spark plug wires....n now my enigine sounds like a diesel engine more than anything...could it be the vacum leak or something else....dont have alot of money because loss of job so CAN YA HELP A GIRL OUT ;) THANKS

I would first do a thorough visual check of the entire intake path from the airflow sensor to the intake manifold, especially focusing on any and all hose clamp connectors along the intake path. Also check all hoses in the intake path for small tears or openings. If you have a length of vacuum hose handy, you can use this like a "stethoscope" to listen for any hissing sounds coming from the intake path while the engine is running. The diesel sound you described sounds more like an exhaust leak - you may want to check your exhaust manifold for any loose bolts or cracks.

Sometimes the timing belt can make a rattling/buzzing noise at idle which could be construed as a "diesel" noise.

You can identify by listening close to the timing cover to see if it's louder there.

Good Luck

well when the engine is cold n its warming up if i rev it or drive it and come off the gas i hear a rattling sound

Usually it's because the auto tensioner is getting old and tired. Listen to see if it's coming from the timing belt area.

Let us know.
