Will this work on 1.8 SOHC valve springs?

Since most of this site speaks to DOHC engines, I've not found the answer through searching.
Will this work on 1.8L SOHC valve springs?

Need to do valve stem seals on a 1.8L SOHC.

I don't think that the valve springs are recessed or shrouded in anyway in this head, are they?

Yes, it did work fine.

#4 intake was a bugger though, interference from a vent channel in the head.

All in all, very simple, 1 1/2 hours to do the valve stem seals, start to finish.
