95 Tailight swap, wiring question

I'm sorry if this is posted somewhere, I have been searching for a long time and can't find it.
But I have just completed swapping out rear bumper and tail lights on my 95 Talon to now 95 Eclipse lights/bumper. Rear hatch tomorrow.

But my question is how do I wire the blinkers and brake lights to work. I first found that I didn't have any brake lights, so I moved one wire in the Eclipse tail light assembly and was able to get the brake lights to work but now I don't have any blinkers (in the rear tail lights, they work fine up front).

The problem is that the Talon has seperate blinkers, while the Eclipse blinkers are also the brake lights. So I tried to jump the blinker wire to the brake light wire (in the car's Talon harness) but that doesn't allow the blinkers to work when the brakes are pushed.

Does anyone know if there is a wiring trick to make this work? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Garrett.

My eclipse lights didn't have the harness that is usually screwed down with the 2 bulbs attached. I had to unscrew the harness/lights from my Talon lenses and use those. I have brake/signal/running lights, they just don't light up like the Eclipses did... at least until I come across a set in the junkyard.

hmm..i can guess i can ask my questions here since its almost the same thing. I'm doing a 2GB eclipse rear conversion on my 96 talon..i have the eclipse rear bumper,reverse lights, and tail lights. My question is, are the tail lights plug on play on the talons plug ins? I see a plug in on the tail lights, am wondering if i just disconnect the talons tails and just plug the eclipse tails in. Also my tails dont have the edge bulb, just the 2 middle ones. What do i do for the edge bulb? do i put the talons bulb in there? HELP!

Lucky. It sounds like yours has everything you need. Plug in the harness, use the Talon side marker light, and your good to go.

The reverse lights are a different story.
I grabbed the Talon wires that were attached to the reverse light bulb and cut off the socket/bulb. Then, I spliced longer sections of wire in replace of that socket/bulb. From there I ran my extended wires through the body of the car. After that is just a matter of cutting off the Eclipse reverse light socket/bulb and splicing that into the new extended wires that I just ran through the back.
After that, its a plug and play situation.

That would be a great idea ... I would surely appreciate it. In my case, I have a 95 Eclipse that I'm trying to wire to work like a Talon - I have the EDM tails with the amber corners. Looking for instructions on how I might make that work that are somewhat easier (ie. cleaner) than the 'German' mod posted in the Tech Article Library.

NOTE: I am in no way saying that I dislike the Tech Article Library thread ... it's actually brilliant but as always I'm looking for alternatives, and I think pinder91 might be on to something based on his experience with his and his GF's car.

Can anyone help me here? I am driving with no rear blinkers, they only are working in the front and they blink really freaking fast . Is it possible that I need to change relays from an Eclipse to my Talon to make the lights work properly?

Can anyone tell me if the relay part numbers are different between the 95 Eclipse and 95 Talon. I can't find the part numbers for them.

Usually if they are blinking fast means that a bulb is burned out or burning out. Check those first.

I guess you didn't read my first post, the begining of this thread. But I wish it was just that simple, that the bulbs were bad. But the fact is that I can't figure out how to wire the blinkers to work with the 95 Eclipse tail lights in my 95 Talon.

I thought I have read that this was a directy plug in, I know many of people have done this.

Ahh somebody HELP. I really need some rear blinkers.
