During fall, the car was still running. So Then winter came, and snowed for 2 weeks. Then I bought my car from my cousin, it was a 90 Eclipse GS-X. He came and gave me the key, and I warmed up the engine. I was sitting in the car for a long time, and the temp isn't even half way. So after sitting in there for 20 minutes. So decided, maybe this was enough..., it was halfway to.. halfway. Next day I didn't start the car.., and then next day I did and the car stopped working. Had cousin touched the battery wiring.., and see if the wiring were off.., they were pretty rusty. Lights and everything doesn't work. Then somehow after messing with the battery wiring, my cousin turn on the engine and it started clicking. So we try to jumped start it with my cousins truck. But the car only clicks, but didn't start. Then the truck died. Probably because the GS-X motor sucked out all the battery...:( .

Then my car sat for a week. I borrowed my friends battery from his 1g GS-T to see if it was the battery. Once we got the battery installed. Lights around the car came on. I told cousin to start it, and it was still clicking. Cousin brought out their other truck, and try to jump start it again. That finally worked! Engine started, and I had to go get some gas for it, since it was on empty. It was weird when cousin was trying to pull down the windows while the radio is still on. The Radio sound will go very low, static. The we went to a gas station about 4 blocks away. After getting gas I told cousin to floor it, but it felt like it was an all motor, since the car is boosted 22 psi. Cousin said there might be somethin wrong with one of my pistons,OMG . Then when we got about 2 blocks away, my cousin stopped on a stop, and the car's lights started dimming. RPM would drop about a little bar lower then 1k rpm. When he rev the motor the lights came on bright, but when he let it sit, the lights looked like it was gonna die out. We went as fast as possible back to cousins house. Then after that, the car engines didn't start ever again, and I live Horribly ever after...., .

Cousins said might be alternator, and sparkplugs. So I bought a new alternator a month ago for 200 bucks,WTF ..., and new belts, and plan on buying spark plugs as soon as possible after installing the alternator. No one has time to help install it. Plus it's outside and it's mad cold outside.., that's probably why,:| .

Sounds like your alternator went, and the car is trying to run on the battery alone. This will cause the accessories (like power windows and radio) to work intermittently or not at all. A 12v battery won't run a car for very long, and you will start losing accessories quickly, and will drain your battery over and over (and over..... :p ).

Also might want to thoroughly clean your battery terminals and make sure they're tight, once you get the new alt. installed.

How old was the original alternator? Do you have a power steering leak that might have caused the alternator to fail, or are you running w/o the exhaust manifold heat shield? All of these contribute to failed alternators, so if you have either of these problems, best to correct them all at once to avoid more problems down the road w/ your new alternator.

Sounds like the alternator wasnt charging, and/or possibly the starter. Spark plugs have nothing to do with the problem at hand. The alternator is easy to install. Disconnect the battery. Take the plastic shield off behind the drivers front wheel. There is a bolt toward the bottom of the Alt. Its on the back side of the alt, between the alt and the exhaust manifold/turbo. I think its 12-14mm head. remove it. Then there is a 13mm bolt near the front of the alt. its on a tensioner bracket. remove it. Then take a 12mm socket and get on the head of the bolt on the other end of the tensioner bracket, loosen it up so the alternator can be removed. A Haynes manual will give you pictures most likely or go to VFAQ.COM they have pictures.

Here is what VFAQ.com says

Tools Needed
Alternator Removal
ratchet
sockets (10mm, 12mm, 14mm)
screwdriver
Bearing Removal Screwdriver (flat head & philips)
Hammer
Ratchet Extension
Impact Wrench (22mm socket)
Bearing Seperator (for rear bearing only)
2-arm gear puller (for use with bearing seperator)

Parts List MD 611566; Alternator Brush; $4.79/ea; Need 2
MD 611397; Front Alternator Bearing; $21.24
MD 611928; Rear Alternator Bearing; $13.45

Alternator Removal Procedure
Disconnect the electrical connector going to the A/C Fan Motor
Unscrew the 3-10mm bolts holding on the A/C Fan Motor (2 up top, 1 on bottom). Start with the bottom bolt, then do the top 2 (see picture).
Remove the lower splash shield (12mm bolts)
Remove all the accessory belts
Remove both water pump pulleys
Remove the electrical connectors going to the alternator. There's 1 plug-type connector and another that's a wire with a loop held on by a nut.
Remove the upper alternator brace (12mm bolts)
Remove the bottom alternator bolt nut (12mm; see picture)
Push the bolt out through to the other side (see picture)
Remove the alternator. You'll likely have to rock it back and forth to get it to come out. Pull alternator out through the top.

Good job ^^^^^ :thumb:
Note, however, that this VFAQ covers not only removal and installation, but alternator repair/rebuild, which you will not need to worry about. The only part you will be concerned with is copied below:

get the carharts out and the boots and gloves and start wrenching and have coffee on hand...its about an hour job give or take...it sucks but better then shoe leather express...I do all my work in a gravel driveway.I put a heat lamp under where I am working to take the edge off in case I have to take my gloves off and warm my hands up.I had to change a timing belt in 10 degree weather one time...took 3 hours but I hate walking.hope this helps.

Jump start the car with a good battery!!!!
If it works, then your battery connecters are all corroded.
Well that sounded good anyways.

I would clean your grounds and terminals first.
Then
Check your alternator fuse, that is right your 80 amp alternator fuse before you go doing anything else

Ok, I have a stupid noob question. How do I clean the rust and grim, etc.. off the battery connectors. Or is it possible to buy new ones?,:| .

Yes, it is possible to buy new ones if yours are really bad. Any place like Autozone or Advance Auto should have them.

I grew up with old-school Ford mechanics (grandpa, uncles, etc etc) and learned that, believe it or not, CocaCola is a great battery terminal cleaner. ;) They make commercial battery terminal cleaners if you're not into the "OG" style, though. I have always used Coke, though :shhh:
