ok i my 96 talon tsi awd has no o2 volatage for the fron sensor but it wont also through a code. the car was throwing a code for my cat. but i had that all fixed a long time ago. i checked a bunch of times on my palm with digital tuning software and the thing doesnt haveno codes and no volatage!!! has anyone had this problem. im ###### going to bye a new sensor anyways. let me know if this happened to anyone, thanks.

It sounds like your sensor is dead to me. Go buy a new one, it should cure your problem. Also you might want to proof read and use the spell check in the future ;)

yeah im going to buy one but i didnt want to drop 100 bucks on a sensor i dont need. A dead sensor should trigger a CEL right?

It SHOULD, is the this front or rear sensor? I cant really say much about 2g's but on mine a dead sensor didnt trigger a CEL. I know on a 2g the rear will throw one though.

Second that... With my rear o2 removed and my front o2 not functioning my car did not throw any codes (except EGR, but thats un-related...). When I went to a shop to get my car to pass emissions the mechanic showed me that my front o2 was dead. I didn't have a logger yet or I would have found out myself, but the point is that it didn't throw a code. Hows your gas mileage? Mine jumped up quite a bit after I got my new o2 in. It was definitely worth the money.

I'm talking about my front o2 sensor, the rear o2 sensor has been removed via vfaq.com. My gas mileage blows and i figured with a new o2 it should help a lot. Plus when im W.O.T. a lot of black carbon comes out so i figured it runs pig rich. So ill try the o2 sensor, do you know where i can get a cheaper one.

well i bought a bosch put it in and now its ok reading the average voltage for crusing and full throttle.
